Amount of scholarship: $50,000.
Description: The purpose of this scholarship is to attract high-performing new international students from priority target markets, studying in a number of areas related to Western Australia’s priority sectors and industries. The scholarship is valued at $50,000 and is paid in half-yearly installments towards the successful applicant’s tuition fees.
Scholarship eligibility:
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Have received an offer of re-registration* as an international student at one of Western Australia’s five universities for full-time study (minimum two years) commencing in the first or second semester of 2024, or a start date after 1 January 2024 applicable to the applicant’s program of study (for Ph.D. students).
- Arrive in Western Australia in a given semester in 2024 to commence their studies in that 2024 semester (they have not previously studied at a Western Australian university).
- You must meet the requirements for an international student visa to study in Australia, enter the State of Western Australia (the State) and commence onshore study in 2024, during the semester for which you have applied.
- You must start your studies directly as part of an undergraduate or postgraduate program and not through an English language pack, foundation or study program.
- Be prepared to decline any other scholarships you have previously received from the university, state or Commonwealth if you are awarded a WA Premier University Scholarship.
- Apply as a fee-paying international student at the university.
- You are a citizen of one of the following countries and are applying to a university outside Australia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, China, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Republic of Korea (South Korea), Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.
- You study on the Fremantle campus of the University of Notre Dame for the duration of your program.
